Interested in trying out for the SHS Cheer Squad?   Please see Ms. Maul in the office.
 
The boy's basketball banquet will be held today, March 30 at 7:00 p.m. in the cafeteria.  Players from all levels and their families are invited.  Each player will be recognized and awards will be presented for each level.  We will be eating dessert only.  Each player is asked to bring a dessert and a serving utensil.  Hope to see you there!!
 
Juniors:  All money for the prom fundraiser needs to be turned in by Tuesday, March 31, 2015.
Junior will not be allowed to attend prom if they have not participated and sold at least 20 suckers.  If you have any questions please see Mrs. Fritzler or Mr. Torres.

Centennial Conservation District Scholarship
-two $500.00 Scholarships for each high school in Logan County
-Eligible applicants are any senior who will be attending a 2 or 4 year college, university or trade school
** Application is available in the SHS Counseling Office
Deadline:  March 27, 2015
 
CSU Native Education Forum (NEF), a five day intensive summer program for students who want to deepen their understanding of their cultural heritage while discussing issues facing today's Native American and Indigenous communities.
NEF brings together motivated students from across the region who are looking to enhance their leadership skills, engage in meaningful conversation and develop their written and oral communication skills. The program is designed for thoughtful and committed students who are completing their sophomore or junior year of high school. Students will interact with currently enrolled students, staff, and University faculty as they help prepare them for a college setting. 
Students who participate in the Native Education Forum are also eligible to earn one CSU credit hour and may be eligible to receive scholarship funds. Students must complete a short application to be part of NEF for 2015. If you have questions about this application process or program please contact Leslee Lovato at (970) 491-5232 or Leslee.Lovato@colostate.edu.

Colorado School of Mines Summer Multicultural Engineering Training Program
 
The deadline to apply is quickly approaching:  April 1, 2015.
SUMMET is a science and engineering program combining course work, hands-on projects, industry tours, sporting activities and social events. It is an excellent stepping stone to the lifestyle and challenges of college. Students from across the nation will stay in Mines’ residence halls, experience life as a college student, and receive instruction in trigonometry & calculus, chemistry, geology, computer science, physics and basic to advanced engineering concepts.
We’re looking for high achieving students who are traditionally underrepresented in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), who excel in math and science, are leaders amongst their peers, and may possibly be first-generation college-bound students.  
We provide room & board - including all meals, course materials and access to all off-campus events!

Society of American Military Engineers/United States Air Force Academy 2015 Engineering and Construction Camp
-June 26th to July 1st
-Must have completed at least 9th grade
-Taking appropriate Math and Science courses
-Have an expressed intent to pursue a degree in Architecture, Engineering or a related field.
-GPA of 3.5 or higher
